Takagi
- The #1 Boiler for Natural Gas and
Propane
|
The
T-K-JR for LP and NG
Released in 2003, the T-K Jr. is the
smallest water heater in the Takagi
tankless line. But this small, but
powerful unit - with gas inputs up
to 140,000 BTU per hour - can meet
all the hot-water needs of a small
American home or apartment with one
or two bathrooms, as well as smaller
commercial applications. Designed to
virtually do anything a 40-gallon
tank-type water heater can do and
more, the compact, wall mounted T-K
Jr. can support hydronic baseboard
or radiant floor heating
applications, as well as provide
domestic hot water to plumbing
fixtures and appliances. The T-K Jr.
has an efficiency rating of 83%,
using natural gas, and 84% with
propane. At an average ∆T
(rise in temperature) of 60°F in
warmer areas - where the winter
ground water is 60°F and with the
output set at 120°F - the unit will
provide 3.8 GPM, or 228 GPH. In
colder areas where the input
temperature may be 40°F or less you
can expect a flow rate of about 2.7
GPM or 162 GPH.

The
T-K-3 for LP and NG
Compact
Size: Only 13.8 inches
wide, the T-K3 can be recessed
between wall studs for even more
space savings! A special recess box
is available for outdoor
installations.
Lower
Activating Flow Rate: The
T-K3 activates at only 0.5 GPM,
which allows the use of smaller
water flows in bathroom sinks and
showers. This reduces water waste
and allows for stable temperatures.
Parallel
Installation: Using
Takagi's Easy Link technology, the
T-K3 can be installed in parallel
with up to three other units without
the use of an additional control
box, generating more flow while
saving money, space and installation
time. Four T-K3 unites will deliver
a total of 21.6 GPM at 60 degrees F
delta T; or 26 GPM at a 50 degree F
delta T.
Direct-Vent
Conversion: The T-K3 can be
easily converted into a direct vent
model for inside installations that
need to import combustion air from
outside.

The
T-K-3-OS for LP and NG
Released
in 2007, the T-K3-OS is Takagi’s
tankless water heater built only for
outdoor installations.
The T-K3-OS is one of Takagi’s
smaller tankless water heaters. At
13.8 inches wide and weighing only
40 pounds, its ultra-compact design
allows it to be mounted on a wall or
installed between two wall studs
using Takagi's TK-RBO2 recess box,
so it's even more inconspicuous.
Since it can only be installed
outside, the T-K3-OS is ideal for
warmer climates.
The T-K3-OS features a built-in
power venting system, but unlike any
of its predecessors, the new
tankless water heater does not
require any additional Category III
venting or vent caps, making
installation one step easier for its
installers.
It can provide an unlimited supply
of hot water continuously because
there is no storage tank to heat and
reheat. The T-K3-0S starts heating
water at 0.5 gallons per minute (GPM),
and can keep that endless supply of
hot water running from as low as 0.4
GPM up to a maximum flow rate of 7.0
GPM.

The
T-H1 for LP and NG
The
T-H1, Takagi's greenest model, is a
condensing unit with an average
efficiency of 92% with natural gas
and 95% with propane. At a ∆T
of 60ºF in warmer areas - where the
winter ground water is 60ºF and
with the output set at 120ºF - the
unit will provide 6.1 GPM, or 366
GPH. In older areas where the input
temperature may be 40ºF or less,
you can expect a flow rate of about
4.3 GPM or 258 GPH.
The
T-H1 is also the industry's most
efficient. This state-of-the-art
unit uses not one, but two heat
exchangers to squeeze additional
energy from the water, resulting in
the higher-than-average efficiencies
stated above. Takagi has added a
stainless steel secondary heat
exchanger to recover waste heat from
the vent stack before it leaves the
unit to preheat the incoming ground
water. This second heat exchanger
and the resulting condensation that
forms from the high efficiency
operation, classify it as a
"Condensing" Water Heater.
The condensate that these types of
heaters produce can be slightly
acidic, so it's collected and sent
through a built-in neutralizer,
allowing for disposal into standard
drainpipe.

The
T-M199 for LP and NG
The
T-M199 fills a niche between the
T-K3 and its big brother the T-M1.
Parallel
Installation: Like the
T-M1, the T-M199 can be installed in
parallel with up to 20 units per
controller, for a total of 108 GPM
at 60ºF ∆T, or 130 GPM at a
50ºF ∆T. This large flow
capacity through parallel
connections will meet the hot water
needs of all high-volume residential
and commercial applications.
Direct-Vent
Conversion: The T-M199 can
be converted to a direct vent model
for inside installation that needs
to import combustion air from the
outside.

The
T-M1 for LP and NG
The T-M1 can meet heavy-duty
commercial or large residential
demands with manifolding
capabilities of up to 20 units and
generates up to 192 gallons of hot
water per minute. The T-M1 offers
the highest BTU's available of all
Takagi units
At
235,000 BTU per hour, the Mobius
T-M1 is Takagi's largest model, with
an average efficiency of 82% with
natural gas and 85% with propane. At
a ∆T of 60ºF in warmer areas
- for example, where the winter
ground water is 60ºF and with the
output set at 122ºF - the unit will
provide a 6.4 GPM, or 384 GPH.
In
colder areas where the input
temperature may be 40ºF or less,
expect a flow rate about 4.5 GPM, or
270 GPH.
